Use That Camera · Cathleen & Jeremy

You bought the camera. Now let’s actually use it.

We’re Cathleen & Jeremy, and we help photographers stop fiddling with the dial and start making the photos they keep picturing in their heads. The craft, the business, the confidence — all of it, taught by two people who built a real photography business doing exactly this.

Cathleen & Jeremy of Use That Camera
Hi, we’re Cathleen & Jeremy.

It started with our wedding and one slightly impulsive camera purchase… “maybe even a side hustle,” we said. A few months in, Cathleen walked away from the news anchor desk to shoot full time, and Jeremy didn’t take much convincing to come along. More than a decade later we’ve built a six-figure photography business and purchased two studios (our current one is an old movie theater!).

Somewhere in there we fell hard for teaching, and Use That Camera is where all of it lives. The lessons, the honest conversations and the kind of help we wish someone had handed us at the start. No gatekeeping, no guru act. Just two people who’ve actually done it, glad to show you how.

Don’t just take our word for it

From photographers who started exactly where you are.

Before learning from Cathleen and Jeremy, I lacked confidence in myself and the quality of my work. I now have a much better understanding of photography equipment, and am more confident making decisions that best serve my vision. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from them. I look forward to growing my business and inspiring others through my work.
